Nine Puppies Arrive at Hartwell Farm; Waitlist Advised to Act Swiftly
The Maple Litter, whelped June 6 under the supervision of matriarch Clara, is reported healthy, plump, and unreasonably adorable. Four spots remain.
Sources close to the whelping box confirm that all nine puppies — five females and four males — are nursing vigorously and gaining weight on schedule. Dam Clara is described as "serene and extremely proud." Sire Alpine could not be reached for comment, as he was asleep on the porch.
Families holding approved applications will be contacted in waitlist order beginning this week. Those not yet on the list are encouraged to apply promptly; Hartwell litters have sold out every year since 2011.
